EcoFlight Overflight Experience with Yavapai-Apache Nation
Members of the Yavapai-Apache Nation, including Tribal Council Members and students, recently participated in an educational overflight with EcoFlight along the Verde River.
The overflight provided participants with the opportunity to view the Verde River and surrounding areas from above, including portions of the Nation’s homelands that are not easily accessible from the ground. The experience offered a different perspective on the landscape and highlighted how land, water, and surrounding areas are connected across the region.
EcoFlight’s program supports educational opportunities by giving participants a firsthand look at natural environments and the importance of responsible stewardship.
The Nation appreciates EcoFlight for coordinating this experience and supporting learning opportunities for our community members.
