Drinking Water Safety Advisory Following Recent Flooding
The Camp Verde Marshal’s Office has issued a public health warning regarding potential drinking water contamination following recent flooding.
Floodwaters may contaminate private wells and septic systems, making drinking water unsafe even when it appears clear.
Residents are encouraged to take the following precautions:
- Do not assume private well water is safe to drink if flooding may have affected the water source.
- Use bottled water or another confirmed safe drinking water source.
- Do not use potentially contaminated water for drinking, cooking, brushing teeth, or preparing infant formula.
- Follow guidance from local and state public health agencies.
Residents are encouraged to remain cautious and share this information with others who may be affected.
