Yavapai-Apache Nation WIC Program Seeks Community Support for Breastfeeding Month

The Yavapai-Apache Nation WIC Program is inviting community members to help celebrate Breastfeeding Month this August by sharing their experiences and words of encouragement for breastfeeding families.

Whether you breastfed for one day or one year, your story matters. Community experiences can provide encouragement, support, and inspiration to parents throughout their breastfeeding journey.

Community members are invited to respond to one or both of the following questions:

• What did you enjoy most about breastfeeding?
• What words of encouragement do you have for breastfeeding moms?

Responses may be submitted by email to santeespurgeon@yan-tribe.org or delivered in person to the WIC Office. Responses will remain anonymous unless you choose to include your name.

Please submit responses by July 31, 2026.
