Felisa McGavock

Felisa McGavock holds a Bachelor’s degree in Education and received her International Montessori Teaching Diploma from the North American Montessori Center (NAMC). She was born and raised in the Philippines and taught in Cebu City for eight (8) years before settling in the United States with her husband. She taught for another eight (8) years at The Montessori Schools of Flagstaff.

Felisa joined the dynamic team of teachers at The Montessori Children’s House on the Yavapai-Apache reservation in August of 2014. She shares her knowledge and enthusiasm of her cultural heritage with great joy and passion.

Felisa enjoys cooking, beading, hiking, listening to music and spending time with her family and friends. Her years of experience, combined with her passion for the Montessori Method is a brilliant recipe!

It was Felisa’s childhood dream to become a teacher and since then she has never stopped fulfilling her dream.
