Official Closure Notice – Verde River Access

Due to severe monsoonal rainfall, rising floodwaters, and dangerous weather conditions, all Verde River access points are temporarily closed until further notice.

This emergency closure has been issued by Chairman Buddy Rocha Jr. and the Yavapai-Apache Nation Public Works Department to protect the safety of community members, employees, contractors, visitors, and recreational users.

During the closure:

• All river access points, boat ramps, and shorelines are closed.
• River crossings are prohibited.
• The closure will remain in effect until the area has been inspected and declared safe.

Community members are reminded to obey all barricades and closures and never attempt to cross flooded roadways or waterways.
