Native American Week

Several local schools were treated to Native American Week by attending a performance of gourd singing, Bird dancing, Apache songs and the Little Warroirettes, along with Jingle and Fancy Shawl dances. Special thanks goes out to Chairwoman-Elect Tanya Lewis, Vice Chairman-Elect Ricardo Pacheco, Council members Lorna Juan and Amanda Honwytewa for attending these performances, along with Ms. Yavapai-Apache Marina Lewis, Princess Avilah Lewis and Lil Missy Kaydence Loretto. Thank you to all the youth who participated in the dances, and a huge thank you to Ron Juan, Martin Loretto for their singing, Dawn Beauty, Monique Prigmore and Glory Lewis for all their support to make this event happen.
