Community Reminder: Slash Pile Use

The Yavapai-Apache Nation Wildland Fire Program would like to remind community members that the slash pile located near the river is for burnable vegetation only.

Items such as household trash, furniture, mattresses, plastic containers, and other non-burnable materials should not be placed at the slash pile.

The photo below shows examples of items that should not be left at the burn pile. Only natural, burnable materials such as brush, branches, and yard vegetation should be placed in this area.

Improper dumping creates safety hazards and makes it difficult for crews to properly manage the burn pile.
