Apache Grammar and Dictionary Class Held at Cultural Resource Center
The Yavapai-Apache Nation Apache Culture Department recently hosted a class focused on Apache grammar and the use of the Dilzhe’e Apache Learners’ Dictionary.
Participants spent the day learning how to better understand and apply the Apache language, guided by Dr. Willem De Rouse, a linguist specializing in Apache dictionaries. The session provided valuable instruction on language structure, pronunciation, and practical use of the dictionary as a learning tool.
This class is part of ongoing efforts to support language preservation and strengthen cultural knowledge within the community. We appreciate everyone who attended and took part in supporting the continued use and growth of the Apache language.
