Community Notice: Animal Control Coordination with Local Rescue Agencies

The Yavapai-Apache Nation Police Department (YAPD) Animal Control Officer Cole Harlan is working with several local animal rescue organizations to address animal-related concerns within the Nation’s communities.

To support these efforts, community members who have independently contacted an animal rescue organization or outside agency for assistance with locating an animal or other animal-related matters are asked to notify YAPD Animal Control through CVMO Dispatch.

This coordination helps ensure that Animal Control and YAPD are aware when outside agencies are present on Tribal lands to provide assistance to community members.

Reporting Concerns

Community members who observe suspicious activity or have concerns involving outside agencies operating on Tribal lands are encouraged to contact CVMO Dispatch.
