Moccasin Making Class
The Yavapai-Apache Nation Apache Culture Program and Alcohol & Substance Abuse (ASA) Program invite community members to participate in a Moccasin Making Class on August 7-8, 2026, at the YAN Culture Building.
Participants will learn from instructor Mathilda Bowman, who has many years of experience creating traditional Apache moccasins and buckskin dresses.
Class Details
- Dates: August 7 & 8, 2026
- Time: 8:00 a.m. – 4:00 p.m.
- Location: YAN Culture Building
- Age Requirement: 18 years or older
- Class Size: Limited to 8 participants (maximum of 10)
Participants who have buckskin and soles are encouraged to bring them. Supplies are limited.
