Fossil Creek Access Information for Yavapai-Apache Nation Members

The Yavapai-Apache Nation has developed the attached Fossil Creek Access Guide to help Tribal Members understand the procedures for accessing Fossil Creek during the 2026 permit season.

The guide outlines reserved parking locations, permit check-out requirements, arrival and check-in procedures, large group accommodations, access to the Homestead Ceremonial Grounds, and important contact information.

Tribal Members planning to visit Fossil Creek are encouraged to review the guide before their trip and make arrangements to obtain a parking permit through the Administration Office. Reserved parking permits help ensure access to designated parking areas and must be displayed while visiting the site.

The Nation appreciates the efforts of the U.S. Forest Service to accommodate Tribal Member access and encourages all visitors to be respectful of site requirements. Community members are reminded to help protect this important area by packing out what they pack in and leaving the site clean for future visitors.
