YAN Wildland Fire Camp Crew Deployed to New Mexico (Seven Cabins Fire)

The Yavapai-Apache Nation Wildland Fire Camp Crew has officially begun its 2026 fire season and was recently dispatched to the Seven Cabins Fire in New Mexico on May 29, 2026.

This marks the crew’s third fire season, and the Nation is proud to have both returning crew members and new recruits serving alongside one another. Their commitment, training, and willingness to respond to wildfire incidents play an important role in protecting communities, natural resources, and public lands throughout the region.

The Yavapai-Apache Nation wishes the crew a safe and successful assignment and thanks them for their dedication and service.
