Court Document Update – Rules of Civil Procedure Amendment

The Yavapai-Apache Nation Tribal Court has issued an Administrative Order No. YAAO 2026-001 amending the Yavapai-Apache Nation Rules of Civil Procedure to authorize service by electronic mail under specified conditions.

The amendment establishes procedures governing service by electronic mail following initial service of process, including provisions related to:

• Authorized use of electronic mail service
• Consent and court authorization requirements
• Designated e-mail addresses
• Affidavit and read receipt requirements
• Completion and failure of service standards

Initial service of process requirements remain unchanged under the existing Rules of Civil Procedure. The amendment became effective May 1, 2026.

The amendment has been added to the existing Rules of Civil Procedure document section for public reference and review.
