Tribal members who need assistance applying for AHCCCS can receive in-person support at the Medical Center.

Applying for AHCCCS helps ensure you are covered in the event of emergency room visits and other medical services.

Please note:

• IHS is not health insurance — it is important to have coverage.

• IHS requires patients to first exhaust alternate resources before financial coverage of services.

• If AHCCCS denies coverage, IHS may cover services (subject to CHS eligibility requirements).
