Exodus History (Condensed Reading) – Shared from Yavapai Culture

February marks a time of remembrance for the Yavapai-Apache Nation, honoring our ancestors who were forcibly removed from the Verde Valley in 1875 during the Exodus.

Yavapai Culture has provided a condensed reading of the historical events that occurred during the time of removal. Community members are encouraged to take a moment to reflect on our ancestors as we live our lives as Indigenous people of the Verde Valley.
