Official Statement: Yavapai-Apache Nation Reaffirms Commitment to Maintain WIC and SNAP Support

The Yavapai-Apache Nation has reaffirmed its commitment to ensuring that all Tribal members continue to have access to essential food and nutrition support during the ongoing federal government shutdown.

The Nation will maintain Women, Infants, and Children (WIC) program funding through the end of 2025 and is taking additional measures to strengthen Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program (SNAP) resources, expand food distribution, and support community health efforts.

“We understand the uncertainty this period may bring, and we want every member of our community to know that the Nation stands with you.”
Buddy Rocha Jr., Chairman, Yavapai-Apache Nation
