On May 12, 2025, at approximately 7:30pm, an 11-year-old female Yavapai-Apache tribal member reported that as she was walking by the YAN Social Services building and Police Department, a Native or Hispanic male attempted to grab her shoulder. When the 11-year-old female felt the man touch her on the shoulder, she turned, looked at him, and screamed which caused him to flee the area. He ran towards the back of the Social Services building and the young girl ran home. She described the suspect as a tall Native American or Hispanic male wearing a black hoodie. She described his build as skinny with long hair down to his waist. Officers responded to the area but were unable to locate anybody in the area fitting the description given. Information was obtained this morning that a subject fitting the description was observed in the Wiki Way area at approximately 8:00pm last night.
